Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Shinnston will conduct a public hearing Monday, September 25, 2017, at 7:00 PM, in the Council Chambers, at 43 Bridge Street. The purpose of the hearing is to take public testimony concerning a new City Ordinance amending Part Five, Article 505.06, of the Codified Ordinance of the City of Shinnston, and to add ad enact Section 505.08 revisions necessary for the regulations of animals. 

Additionally, the city will take public testimony concerning a new City Ordinance amending Part Seventeen, Article 1725, of the Codified Ordinance of the City of Shinnston, providing for the adoption of the West Virginia State Building Code set forth and defined by Title 87, Series 4 of the Code of State Rules as amended.

All interested persons are invited to attend the meeting and submit oral and/or written testimony in favor of or in opposition to the proposal. The proposed text of the ordinance is available for public review at Shinnston City Hall during posted business hours or online at www.shinnstonwv.com

Written comment for this hearing will be accepted until 7:00 p.m., Monday, September 25, 2017; or hand delivered to the City Office by 4:30 p.m., Monday September 25, 2017.
