MONDAY - March 31st, 2008 - Relay for Life Team Meeting
The Relay for Life Team Captain Meeting will be held March 31st at 6:00pm at the Lighthouse. Anyone who is interested in participating in the Relay, creating/joining a team or would like more information should come to this meeting.

SATURDAY ? May 24th, 2008 ? US Route 19 Clean-Up Project
This activities is geared towards making our community a little better by recruiting volunteers for a clean-up project that spans from one end of town to the next. Volunteers are given orange vest and sent out as teams to pick up litter along the road ways leading into, through and out of Shinnston.

FRIDAY & SATURDAY ? June 27th & 28th, 2008 ? Relay for Life
The Relay for Life will be held at the Lincoln High School Football/Track Field from 5:00pm to 5:00am. The event will last all night. Anyone who is interested should call 304-592-5631 for more information. .
TUESDAY ? July 1st, 2008 ? Concert & Fireworks in the Park
You are invited to the 13th Annual Concert in the Park beginning at 6:00pm. This event grows every year and in unique because it is free to the public, housing the Shinnston Community Band and comes complete with a 45-minute fireworks display. Nowhere else can you find a more entertaining and family oriented evening that everyone will enjoy.
SATURDAY ? August 2nd, 2008 ? City Wide Yard Sale
Don?t miss this yard sale! For many years now that Shinnston City Wide Yard Sale is becoming an annual stop for many throughout the area. The entire community joins in and sets up in their yards and sales just about anything and everything.

BICE-FERGUSON MEMORIAL MUSEUM
Located in down town Shinnston, the Bice-Ferguson Memorial Museum is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. from April through December. The Museum's primary collection features antiques telephones.

CONCERT IN THE PARK AND FIREWORKS
The annual Independance Day Concert performed by the Shinnston Community Band was held again on July 1, 2007. Afterwards, one of the finest fireworks displays in the area lit up the night sky. Mark your calendar for next year's performance. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy an evening of brilliant entertainment. Anyone interested in joining the Shinnston Community Band should contact Evan Jones at Bandland by calling 622-1171.
