|  WELCOMEThe City of Shinnston is a full service city that operates under the "Manager Plan" form of government. In this plan, the Council acts as the administrative body and the City Manager is the administrative authority. The City offers full- time police protection, water distribution, waste water treatment and public works. Fire protection is provided by the Shinnston Volunteer Fire Department. Information on any of the provided services can be obtained by calling or e-mailing us at one of the listed numbers. Garbage service is offered by Enterprise Sanitation, Inc. Shinnston offers quiet, safe neighborhoods along with a thriving small downtown business district and is home to many small businesses that provide all of the services necessary for convenient living.
